Similarly to the language versioning module the price versioning module also adds layers to the layout documents. But instead of starting with a master layout document it starts from an approved language versioned document and copies individual language layers into several price version layers. This module also sets the correct price styles for each layer, mapping the prices styles into their market equivalents and can also optionally link an Agility price list to each layer.

An example use case is to create market specific versions of a catalogue where several markets use the same language text, e.g. Latin American Spanish or Russian, but different price lists and price styles. The price versioning module is also Agility layer group aware and provides the same functionality as the language versioning module in this respect. The result is a multi-layer layout document that should not require any touch-up.
